LM: One of my favorite trends is when brides incorporate their new last name or current last name into their set up for the weekend. Plus there are all types of fun colors and accessories involved! I like bachelorettes because every party is so unique and I really feel like I can bring out my creative side for decorating. LM: I interned for a wedding event planning company in college and didn’t feel like it was where my heart was. Laura McKinney: I moved to Savannah two years ago and noticed there were so many bachelorette parties and no companies to support them, so that is where I got the idea for Bach Bash Savannah! With that being said, I could not plan weddings since I was photographing them, so I thought about what other events surround the wedding and that’s when bachelorettes occurred to me. We decided on “She Found Her Spark” and had lightning bolt decor, light bulb cups, and so much more that brought their theme and the bride’s love story to life. For instance, one of my groups had a bride and groom who were both electricians and asked if we could come up with a theme for that. MS: Trends and themes can be found all over TikTok, but my favorite parties tend to be when the group has chosen a theme that is unique and special to their bride. GRB: What are some of your favorite trends/inclusions for bachelorette parties? I get to celebrate one of the most memorable weekends of their life without the stress of the true big day. MS: The bachelorette planning side of things is where the stress-free fun wedding planning lies. GRB: Why were you drawn to bachelorette planning rather than a full-on wedding/event planning service? Bach Babes was born to alleviate those problems for groups traveling to Nashville! Groups spend so much time prepping, setting up the decor, and deciding on itineraries when they should instead be celebrating their bride. One day a friend mentioned that she’d looked for a service she could pay to help with this but there wasn’t anything like it - which set off a light bulb in my head! I then realized how much of a need there was for this type of convenience. Mallory Strange: I was living in Nashville at the time and started helping friends who were flying into town for bachelorette parties set their parties up.
